Smelling Sweet

Hello My lovelies

Its Cherry again and I'm here with a wonderful review! as I said in the post "A Little Glass Wear Obsession" I absolutely love perfume oils. they are a great and inexpensive way to smell great all day with out breaking the bank, now I have been wearing perfume oils sense I was a kid. My father used to get them from the local flea market near by, he was a stickler for smelling good. with that I was taught to always look your best and smell just as sweet. Over the years my tastes of sent has changed only slightly I like lighter fresher sent right out of the shower and then something fruity yet womanly when I am out the door. Then again my tastes changed with the seasons as well, I tend to wear sents that are warmer and spicier in the winter and Autumn and then frutier and more tropical sent in the summer and spring.

Okay just a little history about the wonderful world of Perfume, the art of making perfume was started in Egypt and then perfected  over time by Romans and Arabs. It was in the 14th century when perfumery became popular partly because of Arabic influence and knowledge but it was the Hungarians that who made the first modern perfume. The first modern perfume was made of sented oils and an alcohol solution at the command of Queen Elizabeth of Hungry in 1370 and was known through out Europe as Hungry water. Needless to say Perfume has come a long way sense then and tastes, and trends have changed the face of perfume through out the years.

So with that said perfume can get extremely expensive day to day believe me I know, I was having the darnest time keeping myself in the basic snits I loved.  those snits are usually floral based Jasmine, Lavender, Rose and Plumeria. Then there are the Fruity snits that my boyfriend unit loves which is Apple, Mango, Strawberry, Banana, and passion fruit then there is the aromatic snits like Vanilla, Cinnamon and Star Anise. yes I love all those snits and more to the point I like those snits with out being mixed with anything so I felt it best to find sinted oils that better suited my needs. Now you may find that 6$ for a small 1oz. bottle of scented oil not really that worth it but let me dispell that seceptice thought, ssented oil's are pur sent and they arent thinned out by alchol or other fillers at all. with that said you only need litrally a drop and rub it on your wrists and neck and trust me you are smelling sweet all day because they dont wear off like other perfumes. This means where you run out of perfume in say a month or two these will last a significent longer time and dont dry out as fast as another perfume if you put them in glass perfume with stoppers like the ones I have.
I have taken to buying perfume oils that are not only my favorite base sents but dups of my favorite perfume's as well, this site called "World Wide Perfume Oils" and they are amazing. I ordered from them some time back and have been using their products for about two years ago is when I started my journey back in perfume oils. I did a lot of research and look this site had great costumer service and their sents are really good, I really enjoyed what I got and I want to share that with you now. first I wanted to test how well their perfume types or (dips) of popular perfumes they made, and I was very pleasantly surprised.
I bought their Be Delicious (Donna Karan) Type, Chance (Chanel) Type, Burberry Brit Type, Ralph Lauren Blue Type, Romance (Ralph Lauren) Type, Tommy Girls (T. Hilfiger) Type,   Fantasy  (Britney Spears) Type. how much of my hard earned wampum did I spend you ask? well all together I spent a total of  57.15$ which is the price of one of these perfumes.....Well a large bottle, that means I actually spent all of 6.95$ per bottle. now mind you I paid that much for a 1 oz. bottle but like argon oil you lirtally need only one drop on your wrist (rubbing it in to spread the sent) and two drops on each side of your neck. yep thats three drops a day from the bottle and I must say its been over a year sense I purchoused these and I havent even scratched the surface.

Its a lot of bang for my buck if you ask me, and I'm all about making my almighty daller stretch! well kiddies I have to be leaving you but I will return! As always keep it classy.

Quick Tips!

Hey there My lovely readers,

your friendly neighbor hood Swag Queen Cherry here with a fast and easy tip to baby soft skin!!! Yes, you heard me right, baby soft skin in a matter of a week, provided you do this religiously. I know, but what's a little work for something that will have people talking? Anyhoo, here is the helpful tip that I was given the skivvy to by my instructor extraordinar  Ms.Misty.... and according to her, instead of toweling off right away after a shower or bath, lightly pat yourself dry so your not dripping wet, and while still damp start to put on your lotion. Now it will take some doing because your still technically wet but trust me my little chick-a-dee's, it works like a charm!

Yes, after hearing this little tip-o-la I went home and gave it a go for a week, and I have to say my skin is so soft you wouldn't believe it! My skin not only feels more hydrated, its over all appearance is much better as well. Not only that, my skin stays hydrated longer. Yes, after two weeks of this wonderful new habit I have baby soft skin all over....from my head to my toes, yep, yep!!

Now I know what your thinking, my bathroom routine is already lengthy and time consuming, and this little additive will set you back at least three minutes on top of everything else. But I say to you, what's three minutes when you think of how baby soft and healthy your skin will be as a result! And really, results are all I really ask for and its free....well as far as you dont have to buy anything new, just the lotion you already use....details, details.... catch you lovelies later!

And as always keep it classy...

Josie Maran Review

Hello my Lovelies!!

Cherry here and today I am coming at you with a great review about Josie Maran Cosmetics. this was a gift I received during the holidays and really I'd like to thank my in laws for getting it for me, every year its something new and exciting. this year was no exception I recieved a Maran Argan oil bath gift set as shown above. It came with Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter in a vanilla fig,  Whipped Argan Oil Intensive Hand Cream in vanilla fig, Cleansing Oil for Body in vanilla fig scent, Then there was the small bottles of pure Argan oil. one in the sent of vanilla Fig, the other in the sent of jasmine, lavender, rose and the Organic moisturizing oil.

Now for years Argan Oil has been praised for its restorative properties to both skin and hair, I dont have to tell you that you can use it just about anywhere. from your head to your toes Argan oil can restore the luster to you hair moisturize your skin and cuticles!!! I've even found through my own research that there is food grade Argan oil that you can consume in your food to help with digestion and aid in the prevention of over all unhealthy disorgers. In knowing this its safe to say that these products are rather expensive, But if you where going to spend you hard earned cash on something the juice better be worth the squeeze so to speak.

I have been useing these produces for a few days now and I have to say that it is deffinitly worth the squeeze! the products I use the most is the whipped body butter, the cleanser in the shower and the 100% pure Argan oil moisturizing oil on my scalp after washing my hair. I have to say that my skin looks and feels great! Much better then when I use the body lotions I usually use from bath & body works, I feel that over all my skin looks moisturized and it seems that my skin absorbs the product better then the other products. In saying that I went back to see if after my gift runs out I can keep up this good skin habit and I nearly choked at the price, 45$ seems a bit steep for me but I resolved that its a small price to pay for something that works so well for me. As I stated in my review of Return to beauty Book I have less then perfect skin and because I have allergy prone skin its hard to try new products that dont make my skin wig out! these products did nothing of the sort, they seemed to work with my skin rather then against it. So for the price I think I will be purchasing it again with a shaking finger clicking the confermation button.

I know that smell is a large issue with some it is for me as well and I have to say the sent is rather sweet but not overwhelming or offensive I rather like the sent to be honest. the scented oils smell exactly the way they are labeled but again the scents are not over powering or overly heavy, I found them light and really nice to apply after getting out of the shower. I found that the over all scented oils work really well as base perfume for when I just get out of the shower and rub a little on my finger tips and then on my Décolletage.

In knowing this I did look for similar products that where a bit more pocket book friendly, but the reviews on the different products didn't seem to stack up to this product so I had to concede I have been ruined because the Josie Maran products are just that worth it! In summation if you are in the market for some Argan products at a reasonable high end price then look no further this company is the one for you!

Catch you on the flip side, Ta!

Return to Beauty Book Review

Hello lovelies....

Your friendly Swag Queen Caption Cherry here with a really good book review!!! I know that skin care is a real issue especially if you are like me and have less then perfect skin, I have oily sensitive skin. not only is it an oil slick by the end of the day but I have skin allergies as well and its hard to try different skin care products with out encoring the wrath of my unforgiving allergies. so finding a more home made approach to aid what is working for me is always something on my mind, well I was trolling the beauty books on Amazon and as you well know every now and again you find a gem! Return to Beauty: Old-World Recipes for Great Radiant Skin By Narine Nikogosian is one of those diamonds in the rough.

I cant say enough good things about this book, its a how to guide to better skin from your own kitchen. She begins the book with explaining her history with skin care and how she experimented with different home recipes as a child inspired by her mother and grandmother. She then talks about the many different skin types and splits the book into those different different seasons along with skin types. Many of the recipes differ between these sections, in case you where wondering what those different skin types are Nikogosian gives a really easy to fallow explanation of them, for instance she states "Normal oily Skin" is a skin type where someone has oil appearing on their 'T' zone at certain times of the day. "Oliy Skin" is a skin type where your skin is oily all over all day, The next skin type is  "Normal dry Skin" which she explains is when your skin feels tight and dehydrated in different times of the day. Lastly is "Dry Skin" which is when your skin feels tight and dehydrated all day.  Each skin type has their own set of recipes in the different seasons and she explains that each skin type has different needs from season to season, which is very true.

The recipes are very easy to fallow and full of wonderful ingredients many of which I would much rather eat then put on my face but I digress, One recipe I absolutely love in the winter section is the almond oil eye creme. I have to say it was not only very moisturizing, I found it rather delectable and heavenly. I placed some around my eyes at night and in the morning and believe me a little goes a long way, I found that the skin was softer and over all it felt so much better. In the spring is where my skin starts to really act up because its warmer, I really find myself working over time to keep the oil slick away! there where two recipes that I simply adored and they helped me do just that, "the salty white cleanser" and "the cucumber restoration toner". I used them at different times and once together and there is something to be said about home made cleansers and toners. They are magical, I saw a real difference in my skin's oil out put and really every now and again I rotate them in my regimen.

Now mind you I fallowed the oily skin recipes the others didn't really apply to my skin care but that dose not mean that they wont work out for you, I spent a few months with this book and really tried out the recipes before I formulated my opinion about it. I really wanted to give a real go at it before I wrote a proper review. there are sections on how to give your self a facial, nail care, Hair care, acne solutions, wrinkle care and there is helpful tips that gives the man in your life some skin care solutions as well. Scrubs, moisturizers and masks for your honey to stay fresh and stay looking fine.

I cant say enough good things about this book my lovelies so please check it out on you reader device or buy the book off amazon trust me the juice is definitely worth the squeeze!

As always thank you for reading, please let us know if there is a book weather it be art, a how to, beauty or makeup book you would like us to review! by Dolls.
